In addition fluorocarbon elastomer, have great benefit to be used in vacuum sealing due to its low gas impermeability ratings.  

The down side of fluorocarbon elastomer is, they should avoid being use in low temperature applications or exposing to hot water, steam, polar solvents, low molecular weight esters and esters, glycol based brake fluids or hot hydrofluoric or chlorosulfonic acids are a factor.

Place the female component in a manner that allows its radius to go around the corner. This should be done when you are finalizing the installation process. Ensure the lead of this component is inside the chamfer. This is how you will be able to guarantee the safety of the O-ring.
