Tiger Brand 2.5L Tiger One Pack Quick Dry Zinc Rich Primer 85% (ZR-6385)

Single component premium epoxy-ester zinc rich primer that contains at least 85% metallic zinc in dry film. Essentially encapsulates the substrate with a barrier of metallic zinc and provides long term corrosion protection in most environments. Develops excellent adhesion on steel, galvanized steel and other selected ferrous based substrates. Ideal for touching up and repairing damaged inorganic zinc coating and galvanized steel as well as weld seam areas. Easy to apply coating that cures rapidly to form a tough, flexible and abrasion resistance coating with indefinite recoat window. Must have multipurpose zinc rich primer for industrial workshops and DIY applications where spraying is difficult. Readily accepts a variety of top coats. Suitable for industrial and marine use.

Tiger Brand Quick Dry Zinc Rich Primer (ZR-6385) 

Quick Dry Zinc Rich Primer (ZR-6385) is a single component premium epoxy-ester primer formulated with 85% zinc in dry film. ZR-6385 encapsulates the substrate with a barrier of metallic zinc to provide long term excellent corrosion in demanding environments. Easy to apply coating that cures rapidly to form a tough, flexible and abrasion resistant coating with an indefinite recoat window. Not recommended for immersion use. 

 Recommended for use as an anti-corrosive or repair coating for demanding environments like offshore structures and coastal areas. 

 Especially ideal for touching up and repairing damaged inorganic zinc coatings, galvanized steel substrates and weld seam areas. 

 Must have multipurpose zinc rich primer for industrial workshops involved in the cutting welding and fabrication of metallic substrates. 

 Light metal industries like vehicle repair workshops, and home appliance manufacturing and servicing centres. 

 Versatile primer excellent for DIY applications where spraying is difficult or prohibited. 

Suitable for direct use on galvanized steel and selected metallic substrates. 

 Readily accepts a variety of topcoats. 

 Cures rapidly to form a tough, flexible and abrasion resistance coating. 

 Develops excellent adhesion on galvanized steel and selected metallic substrates. 

 Contains at least 85% zinc in dried film to provide excellent corrosion protection. 

Spreading rate: 10 m2/litre (Approximate) ZR-6385 

The surface to be applied with ZR-6385 must be free from moisture (water), oil, grease, dirt, loose adhering materials and other contaminants. The metallic surface needs to be bare for the galvanic action of ZR-6385 to work optimally. 

ZR-6385 can be applied by roller or brush, however, multiple coats may be needed to achieve the recommended film thickness. 

If thinning is required please use Tiger Brand Thinner 3007 up to 10% part by weight. 

All equipment should be thoroughly cleaned with Tiger Brand Thinner 3007 after use. 

The product comes in both 5 litres and 20 litres packing. Must be stored in cool well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. 

Do not inhale spray mist. Remove all contaminated clothing and wash skin with suitable proprietary cleaners or soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. If persistent discomfort or irritation occurs after application please seek medical advice.
