Two-component, high-build, polyamide-cured recoatable epoxy coating for steel and concrete structures exposed to atmospheric land or marine conditions.
Key properties: Anticorrosive, water- and mild chemical-resistant, cures even at temperatures down to -10°C (14°F).
- General-purpose epoxy buildcoat or finish for protective coating systems
- Suitable for steel and concrete in atmospheric land or marine conditions
- Easy application by airless spray and brush
- Cures down to -10°C (14°F)
- Tolerant of high humidity (up to 95%) during application and curing without loss of quality
- Good adhesion to most aged, sound alkyd, chlorinated rubber, and epoxy coatings
- Can be recoated with two-component and conventional coatings, even after long weathering periods
- Resistant to water and mild chemical splash
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Tough and flexible for long-term durability
- Colours: Standard and custom colours available
- Gloss level: Semi-gloss
- Air spray
- Airless spray
- Brush/Roller
- Epoxy coatings chalk and fade when exposed to sunlight
- Substrate temperature during application/curing:
- Minimum: -10°C (14°F), surface must be dry and free of ice
- Should be at least 3°C (5°F) above dew point
- In exceptional cases: application possible down to -15°C (5°F), but requires careful control of film thickness to avoid defects (checking, crazing, solvent entrapment)
- Additional thinning may be required at lower temperatures to maintain viscosity, but this can reduce sag resistance and increase solvent retention
- Optimal curing and full product performance achieved only when minimum substrate temperature is reached
